As we look forward to the new millennium and LWMA's 102nd year of operation, make a resolution to involve yourself more with the school and the Alumni Association. Our association is growing constantly with over 600 current names and addresses, and over 160 Email addresses. One thing we all share is that we either attended, taught or graduated from here making the school a part of us all.
This past year, many changes have taken place with a new president, MG Clyde Hennies, a new field house, new computers, new equipment in the weight room, restoration of Howell Hall and different policies throughout the organization. If you visit the campus, you will see many other changes in the progress to benefit the school.
The Alumni Association needs your involvement. You can do that by paying your dues and participating in alumni events. Other ways are by giving of your services, either to the school in some way or to the Alumni Association. Many of you are in occupations that could benefit the school in many ways. Remember the Alumni Association when a loved one or friend dies by giving a memorial. Our Scholarship Fund gives two scholarship each year totaling $3,000.00 which has to be replaced. Our office now has two monthly bills and supplies that have to be paid. It is no longer a small organization. Without your help, we could not survive. We have many things to be proud and we want to succeed.
I hope you will consider joining our organization. Dues are only $20.00 for the year. More importantly, I hope you will take the time to get involved with our activities. Put on your calendar, May 6, 2000, for our annual meeting and social. These events are for you to enjoy.
