To all former LWMA football players who played for Coach J. D. Gooden.
Coach Gooden coached the Rangers from school years 1962-63 to 1972-73 and returned to assist coaching the 2007-2008 Ranger team.
Ranger Field will be dedicated in honor of Coach J. D. Gooden during halftime ceremonies at the Homecoming Game, October 17, 2008.  A monument and bronze plaque will be unveiled.   This well deserved honor is being kept a surprise for Coach Gooden.  He should have no knowledge of the plans until it is revealed to him during the ceremony on October 17, 2008.

A monetary contribution of any amount will help to pay for the expenses of the monument and plaque and help make needed improvements to the football program and facilities at Lyman Ward Military Academy.  Your presence on the field with Coach Gooden as he is honored will make this night a memorable one for all concerned. Donations are accepted at the Alumni Store
