Paul Tate, Executive Director
Paul writes, The Board of Trustees of Lyman Ward Military Academy held a meeting on campus on Saturday, February 1, 2003. The Alumni were represented at the meeting by T.A. Moore '80, current President of the Association and Paul Tate, the Executive Director of the Alumni Association. The President of our Alumni Association now serves as an ex officio member of the school's Board of Trustees. This is a direct result of the Academy's concern that the trustees and alumni must work together. On the agenda, the Alumni Association presented a progress report, along with a financial report, and all questions about the alumni Association were answered. Two former students were elected to the Board of Trustees, Vic Rumore '65 and Paul Strobel, who attended S.I.I. 1941-43. Our congratulations go to these former students. Now there are five of the 15 board members who have been students at SII or LWMA. Other alumni include Col. Wesley P. Smith, '47; Von McQueen, '66; and Bradley Bean, '76. |
