MG Hennies Steps Down As President
MG(R) Clyde Hennies announced that he will step down as President of Lyman Ward Military Academy effective July 1, 2003.
"My life is saddened with the reality that I must step down from the Presidency of this great institution for personal family reasons," said MG Hennies. "It has been a painful, yet easy decision, as I can no longer expect my wife, Connie, to bear alone the responsibility of caring for her aging parents, one of whom is being ravaged by Alzheimer's disease."
Dr. Chester Carroll, a member of the Board of Trustees, has been selected to assume the Presidency. Dr. Carroll is an eminent scholar, researcher, and business leader.
"Dr. Carroll is fully qualified for the position and I am thrilled that he has agreed to be our new leader," said MG Hennies. "He has my full support and our transition will be orderly and seamless."
